A word from The Poet
Tis the season for fun!
Dec 19, 2018
Toronto and Leslieville are filled with fun activities this December. Whether you want to hit the local parks to find a hill to toboggan down or would rather cozy up in a nice café next to a warm fire and enjoy some hot cocoa, there is plenty to see and do during the holiday season. Let’s take a look at some fun activities worth checking out this holiday season.

LESLIEVILLE HOLIDAY FLEA MARKET
If you want to check out the Leslieville Flea Market, there’s no better time than the holidays. On top of all the wonderful vendors, the holidays bring out some especially great items. If you’re looking for a unique gift, or just enjoy browsing one-of-a-kind vintage and handcrafted wares, this is definitely the right place to start.
FLATIRON'S CHRISTMAS MARKET
Just west of the Poet is the Flatiron Christmas Market and it’s one not to be missed. This market has great finds you won’t see elsewhere including handmade ornaments from Europe, Canadian-made gifts fit for the whole family and much more. There is also plenty of parking nearby, plus it is just a short ride on the Queen streetcar from The Poet.

TORONTO CHRISTMAS MARKET
More than just a market, this is an event you don’t want to miss. Every year the Distillery District hosts an amazing European-style market. Filled with cute stalls, warm food and drinks, and lots of entertainment, this market has a European vibe that you won’t find in many other places in North America. Have your pet take a photo with Santa, visit the Interac Ornament Wall, or sit back and enjoy one of the many groups of carolers strewn throughout the area. If you’re having trouble getting into the holiday spirit, the Toronto Christmas Market will surely cure you.
